1998 Hamacher Chardonnay

TASTING NOTES

Golden honey hue. Shy up front before opening into lilac, dried fruits, apricots & pears, with waxy caramel notes. Lively and shockingly bright given its age. Roasted almonds, sea air, and toasted coconut. Rich with a silky texture and balanced acidity, ripe apple & stone fruit, some spice and earthy notes in the background, finishes long and bright.

TECH NOTES

VINEYARDS: Dijon Clone, Dundee Hills AVA

FERMENTATION: 30% new French oak, stirred weekly for 10 months, hand bottled without filtration after 18 months in barrel

ALCOHOL: 13.0%
